OUR STORY

Come visit our gym in Washington south of downtown Seattle. Momentum is proud to have launched its SODO facility, a 20,000 square foot bouldering gym with an emphasis on training and smaller crowds. Featuring nearly endless climbing terrain, awesome hangout spaces, and a massive area for cardio, fitness, and yoga, Momentum SODO is a true world class climbing facility.

Born in the mountains of Utah, Momentum Climbing designs its gyms to mimic the canyons and crags that have drawn people from all over the world for decades. From the walls to the routes placed on them, we create awesome experiences for our members. We design our walls to accommodate people of all backgrounds, and employ route setters who are at the top of their craft, to ensure that there will always be fresh, exciting routes to come back for. Climbing is also a social activity. You’ll meet new friends as you return again and again.

Become part of the Momentum family today and make new friends as we build our local climbing community together.

THE SODO TEAM

Meet some of our awesome staff!

Jeremy Park

General Manager

Favor place to climb: everywhere!

Other Hobbies: Board games, improv
Interesting facts: Once got helicopter rescued from the Bugaboos due to landslides.
To get my car back I contacted a random guy from Colorado with an assist from Fred Becky

Dylan Jones

Assistant Manager

Originally from Austin, Dylan moved to Seattle in 2018 to help open the SODO gym. Having spent many years as a youth competitor, he entered the climbing industry in 2016. Since then, he has worked in operations, facilities, instruction, routesetting, and everything in between. Fixing stuff and routesetting are his favorite, but he is known to get lost in conversation with the SODO regulars. When not climbing, Dylan can be found exploring the Cascades, cooking, and playing with his dogs.

Mark Mercer

Regional Head Routesetter

Mark is the Head Routesetter here at Momentum SODO. Originally from Florida, Mark grew up in climbing gyms. From those experiences grew a passion for the industry and its communities. Since moving to Seattle, he spends most weekends searching the Washington forests for tall boulders to climb. As an IFSC and USAC Level 5 Routesetter, Mark has nearly two decades of national and international competition setting experience.

Moe Corbett

Routesetter

Moé was born in Tokyo, Japan, and spent most of her time growing up in Florida, where her passion and love for climbing and routesetting began. With over 9 years of experience routesetting, she has set for a number of national and international competitions, and is currently a USA Climbing Level 4 Routesetter. She spends her free time climbing boulders outside, reading, and watching her plants.
